RAMS measures the online audience, it is not a survey. It’s REAL data and calculates any AM, FM or DAB listening according to accepted industry methods.
What Does This Mean For Radio Stations?
For the first time independent stations can offer advertisers what they want and need in terms of figures. This means that, through LRS, stations can be part of a network that is attractive to bigger local businesses as well as regional and national companies wanting to reach the highly engaged local audiences that independent local stations can offer.
What Do radio Stations Need To Do?
The short answer is not a lot!
First and foremost it’s FREE.
You’ll be asked to agree to some simple terms. We will then set up an account at our end.
We through our partners at RCS REVMA will provide a stream for you to use.
We will set things up at our end, you need to add the new stream to your output encoder.
Finally you will need to feed websites, apps, Alexa, Tune-in, Radioplayer etc. with your new stream, this way we can measure your listening across all, in one place.
What Does This Mean For Advertisers?
RAMS provides non RAJAR stations with credible figures to share with advertisers.
With a ‘bolt-on’ AIMS (Audience Impact Measurement System) we can measure actual impressions/impacts created across a campaign.
This means audio/radio can be measured in the same way as online digital marketing.
